Heat exchangers for a safe and sustainable future.
With a legacy in heat transfer dating back to the early 1900’s, our heat exchangers are integral to the most critical of global industries, from oil refineries and chemical plants to naval fleets and nuclear power stations.

Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers
TEMA type heat exchangers produced in the full range of steel, nickel & corrosion resistant alloys.

Proprietary Machine Cooling Products
Sophisticated, compact heat transfer equipment for oil, water and air cooling in the most challenging of applications.

Air Cooled Heat Exchangers
Safe, reliable and innovative air-cooled heat exchangers for operating in the harshest of environments.
Why we exist
Our legacy gives us experience, but our culture determines how safely and reliably we apply it. Shaped by the principles of nuclear safety, that culture extends across everything we do. It is why we believe our industry deserves better — no compromises, just unwavering reliability, quality and integrity.

High Integrity Pressure Equipment
We are a team of experienced engineers committed to delivering high-integrity pressure equipment. That commitment is underpinned by integrated systems for safety, compliance and information security, and by a culture benchmarked using the ONR’s Nuclear Industry Safety Culture Inventory (NISCI) — with our latest assessment exceeding the industry mean.

-
Reactor Feed Effluent Exchangers
Therco Serck collaborated with a UK oil refinery to deliver these ASME VIII Div. 1 Reactor Feed/Effluent Exchangers.
The scope included chrome molybdenum components with stainless steel explosive cladding and weld overlay, together with pre- and post-weld heat treatment. Inspection included 100% radiography plus ultrasonic, penetrant, magnetic particle, PMI, hardness, ferrite and pressure testing.
Designed for pressures up to 114 bar(g)/FV and temperatures from -10°C to +425°C, this was a complex package for critical refinery service.

-
Hairpin Heat Exchangers
TEMA hairpin heat exchangers allow true counter-current flow and are particularly well suited to cyclic service.
Their configuration makes them an excellent choice for process applications involving high pressure, high temperature and extreme temperature crossing. A high surface-area-to-volume ratio also enables compact, efficient designs where space is limited.
A proven exchanger type, engineered for demanding thermal duties.

-
Strengthening Our Nuclear Quality Credentials
Therco Serck is continuing to strengthen its nuclear capability through ISO 19443, the sector-specific quality management standard for organisations supplying products and services important to nuclear safety.
Building on our established ISO 9001 system, this represents another step in the development of our nuclear quality culture, with greater focus on traceability, accountability and the importance of safety-critical work.

Air Coolers in HF Acid Service
At first glance, these air cooler bundles may appear straightforward. As always, the detail tells the real story.
These 12-metre Isobutane Condenser bundles feature Therco Serck’s seam-weld-free header box design, machined from solid SA105N + S62 forgings and suitable for HF acid service.
The result is a high-integrity header design that is straight, robust and requires significantly less fabrication NDT than conventional seam-welded alternatives.
Another demanding application. Another engineered solution built around long-term reliability.

Canadian Defence Partnership with Simex
Therco Serck’s long-standing partnership with Simex Defence continues to support mission-critical cooling equipment across the Canadian naval fleet.
The partnership brings together Simex Defence’s Canadian defence-sector experience with Therco Serck’s OEM knowledge, technical records and specialist manufacturing capability.
Together, we support spares, replacements and technical know-how for Serck and Therco Serck equipment operating in demanding naval applications.

Surface Condenser
Designing condensers for corrosive service demands careful material selection, robust construction and a clear understanding of operating risk.
For this seawater-cooled steam condenser, Therco Serck used nearly 3,000 titanium tubes, explosively clad titanium tubesheets and internally coated integral channels.
Titanium is well suited to corrosive and mission-critical duties, but its cost, fabrication requirements and long design life demand disciplined control throughout design, manufacture and operation — particularly for defence-related and safety-critical applications such as this.

Global reach. Specialist focus.
Our customers, including some of the worlds largest corporations, trust us to deliver precision- engineered solutions that exceed expectations in safety, performance, and efficiency.
